Although not super new, I'm a fan of these type belts so good to see 511's take on them. The style made popular by the Liger belt, these Apex belts have a nice upgrade of having 2 hooks to prevent buckle rotation.

Originally shown back at shotshow 2013 earlier this year, I finally got a hold of one of these 5.11 Maverick Assaulter's Belts and it is everything I hoped it would be. There are a lot of good Cobra based belts out there, but the attention to the small design details really makes the Maverick shine.

JONES TACTICAL - Cobra Shooters Belt (CSB-01)

Details
Category: Belts
Created: Saturday, 25 July 2009 21:54

You may have not of heard of him, but Jones Tactical is hitting the scene offering some no messing around heavy duty custom gear. For this particular review I am checking out the Cobra Shooters Belt which hence the name uses the pinnacle of heavy duty buckles, Cobra buckles. What is so special about this buckle you might ask? Well a common problem in other belts is that the webbing strength is rated much much higher than the buckle. The Corba however is rated closer to the webbing, getting into rowdy 2500+ lbs country which not even the fattest bastard on the planet can threaten.

Blue Force Gear SOC-C Modular Padded Belt

Details
Category: Belts
Created: Sunday, 17 May 2009 04:55

If you ever need a good load of gear attached to your belt, I highly recommend a padded belt. Using a traditional thick webbing belt will consistently result in pain and discomfort when worn for long periods with only moderate loads. One of the more advanced padded belt design's is Blue Force Gear's SOC-C belt displayed in this entry. Those whom have used other padded belts will immediately notice the SOC-C is much easier to adjust and change belts out of. Typically a lot of routing and velcro dodging is required, however the SOC-C has a flap based design for full access.

Smokejumper Wildland Rigger Belt

Details
Category: Belts
Created: Monday, 16 February 2009 04:54

I like to help out the little businesses out there when I can so wanted to spread the word about this cost effective belt. Construction is minimal using mil-spec materials. The base is MIL-W-4088 type VII webbing (about 1.75" wide) that is sewn down in a serious way and the buckle is a classic rigger belt style rated for 2500 lbs. The lengths typically come long so you can easily cut and burn as desired.
Clearly it can hold up your pants, but when it comes down to a crap situation it has the capability to save your life as well. <wildland ebay store>

5.11-TACTICAL Trainer belt

Details
Category: Belts
Created: Sunday, 15 April 2007 04:53

The trainer belt is a solid BDU style belt with a custom harness adapter (metal hardware) instead of the usual surplus one. A generous portion of velcro allows for ease in adjustability and security of your extra slack. The end has been rounded off and coated or heat treated so it won't fray. This particular belt is fairly flexible for comfort and is 1.5" wide while the 5.11 Operator belt is 1.75" wide and more stiff. Although mostly meant for holding up your pants, if it came down to it, this belt could withstand the user's full body weight and then some.

MAXPEDITION Liger Gun Belt:

Details
Category: Belts
Created: Sunday, 11 March 2007 04:52

The Liger Gun Belt is a great example of Maxpedition's many unique products. Combining a sleek look and military functionality makes this belt great for duty belt functionality with casual belt looks. The main strap of the belt is made from Ligerthane which possesses over 2,000 lbs of tensile strength with over 300 lbs of hole pull strength. The highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane coating makes the belt totally impervious to salt water, blood, mildew, mold, rot and resistant to many common solvents. Ligerthane is a good balance of flexibility, yet stiff enough to be used as a gun/duty belt.
